People who are consumers of health care have rights guaranteed to them by federal law. All health care personnel must be familiar with residents’ rights and know how these relate to the care provided. This course is intended to help all health care personnel working in the long-term care setting to increase their knowledge and understanding of federal residents’ rights as well as gain a general understanding of common resident responsibilities.

The state guidelines for Preceptor Curriculum list five topics and eleven areas of focus. Our Preceptor course incorporates thirteen additional subject areas such as Aspects of Aging, Marketing & Sales, Insurance, Legal Aspects, and Public Relations. We believe these skill sets are important for an AIT to acquire from his or her Preceptor.

Welcome to the Florida-specific training on special care of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders.

The State of Florida requires everyone working in a Hospice or nursing facility dedicated to caring for persons with chronic confusion or a dementing illness to complete two modules on care of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders. This is the second of two modules and is the three hour required course.

Health care supervisory personnel will refresh their knowledge related to recognizing substance misuse in the workplace. 

To provide information in accordance with Iowa law that a supervisor needs to develop and/or implement a substance abuse prevention program, including drug and/or alcohol testing, in the workplace setting.

To enhance the learner’s understanding of family violence, causes, physical, psychological and behavioral indicators; and family violence prevention.

Florida ranks third in the United States for the most reported cases of human trafficking, according to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. Because of the prevalence of human trafficking and the state’s commitment to end it, Florida law requires nurses, health care workers, and other professionally mandated reporters to report suspected child and vulnerable adult victims of human trafficking to the state’s central abuse hotline. By taking this course, you will learn to identify human trafficking, follow guidelines for what to report, and understand how to resource and support survivors.

Since April 2013, the Florida Board of Nursing requires licensed professionals to complete a two-hour course based on the laws and regulations for nursing practices in the state of Florida. This course fulfills the requirement set forth by the Florida Board of Nursing.

Description:

Since November 2015, the Florida Board of Nursing requires licensed registered nurses to complete a two-hour course based on how impaired individuals can impact the workplace. This course fulfills the requirement set by the Florida Board of Nursing.  The audience for this course is primarily focused on registered nurses in Florida who are directly impacted by impairment in the workplace.
