To provide caregivers with the basic information on various diets that may be offered in facilities.

The nursing assistant will understand the importance of water for the health of older adults and develop skills to promote proper hydration in those under their care.

The direct care worker will better understand dysphagia by recognizing the signs and symptoms of the disorder and actions to utilize with the dysphagia patient/resident/client.
