The participant will enhance their understanding of diseases, chronic illnesses, and mental issues that affect the older adult and discuss ways to promote healthy aging.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will have a better understanding of hearing loss and how it affects the individual as well as treatment options to enhance quality of living of the hearing impaired individual.

To enhance the nurse’s ability to utilize ethical principles in nursing practice.

Health care professionals will increase their understanding of the nutrition and hydration needs of their elderly patients.
