The purpose of this course is to inform health professionals and food service workers about foodborne illness and the many pathogens that can cause it, the symptoms, how it is transmitted, how to prevent it, and how to treat it. 

To help the individual eat and drink safely, food textures may be altered with the help of a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Certain foods or fluids may be restricted or eliminated depending on an individual’s medical needs. Diets may be ordered for weight management. Food allergies as well as religious practices must be taken into consideration.

The purpose of this course is to help food and nutrition services staff understand the survey process in long-term care facilities.

The purpose of this course is to present social workers with a comprehensive understanding of ethical theories, principles, and the application of these principles to social work practice. This course also examines the detailed components of the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics (NASW).

Learners will gain knowledge and skills related to ladder safety.

Health care providers and others employed within health care facilities will learn about infection control measures including precautions, transmission-based (isolation) precautions, handwashing, personal protective equipment, sterilization, and disinfection.

Employees working in health care facilities will increase their understanding of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements regarding lockout/tagout.
