- Define delegation;
- Differentiate between responsibility and accountability;
- List two benefits of delegation for the registered nurse;
- List two challenges to delegation for the registered nurse;
- Discuss the five rights of delegation;
- Describe how delegation influences patient outcomes;
- Summarize the National Council of State Boards of Nursing’s Delegation Decision-Making Grid;
- List the three categories of the American Nurse Association’s Nursing Principles of Delegation.
