Nurse Aide/Medication Aide

This course aims to provide medication aides with a general understanding of COPD medications. This includes a review of the common medications prescribed for treatment, their drug classification, side effects, and the various devices used to administer these medications. 

Pneumonia is a disease of the lungs that is caused by viruses, bacteria, and sometimes fungi or other organisms. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that more than 40,000 people in the United States die from some kind of pneumonia annually. It occurs frequently in infants, older adults, and those with impaired immune systems. With this course, the certified medication aide will enhance their understanding of pneumonia as well as the care and treatment of patients with the disease.
