Purpose: The participant will better understand herpes zoster and its treatment and prevention.
Objectives:
- Describe herpes zoster or shingles;
- Discuss post-herpetic neuralgia and its treatment;
- Explain immunization protocol for herpes zoster (shingles);
- Discuss ways to prevent the transmission of herpes zoster in the healthcare setting.
