Objectives:
- Define pressure injury.
- Discuss risk factors that can contribute to the formation of pressure injuries.
- Describe actions that the nursing assistant can take to prevent and help treat pressure injuries.
- Explain situations that need to be reported to a nurse in order to prevent or care for pressure injuries.
