ALL137 - Aging and Immobility Dangers
Loss of muscle mass and strength is a normal part of the aging process. The resulting immobility of aging muscles can affect many areas of the body. This course provides an overview of how aging affects mobility, including risk factors, complications and dangers of immobility, and details how therapeutic activities can lessen mobility problems.

1. Identify the risk factors for immobility in older adults.
2. Describe the physical, psychological, and social dangers of immobility as we age.
3. Identify interventions to treat immobility in older adults.
