Nurse Aide/Medication Aide

This course will enhance the direct care personnel’s understanding of the benefits of and correct procedures for oral hygiene.

The following training meets the Indiana Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) annual required six (6) hours of annual in-service training to renew QMA certification each year.  For insulin administration certified QMAs, one (1) additional hour of in-service training directly related to insulin administration must also be completed each year.

Health care workers in long-term care are responsible for the health and safety of residents. This course highlights common wandering and elopement behaviors of residents while placing an emphasis on prevention and response measures within the facility.
