The healthcare employee will enhance his/her recognition of alcohol and other drug (substance) abuse in the workplace setting.
Purpose: The healthcare employee will enhance his/her recognition of alcohol and other drug (substance) abuse in the workplace setting.
Objectives:
- List and discuss problems that can occur in the workplace as a result of a substance-impaired employee;
- Discuss testing for drug/alcohol use;
- Identify signs of drug/alcohol abuse;
- Discuss responsibilities of the co-worker in reporting inappropriate behavior that may result from substance abuse in the workplace.
