Purpose: Healthcare personnel will enhance their understanding of the OSHA hazardous chemical guidelines and how to use Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Objectives:
- Discuss the Hazard Communication Standard;
- Identify what hazardous materials include;
- Explain how to prevent or minimize workplace hazards;
- Identify what a Safety Data Sheet includes;
- Discuss what is included in an appropriate written hazard communication program;
- Identify what a training program should include.
