  3. Discuss barriers to effective communication; 
  4. Examine the concept of problem solving and conflict resolution; 
  5. Explore the theory and skills of assessment by nurse leaders; 
  6. Discuss the contemporary concept of managing conflict; 
  7. Evaluate the differences between the problem resolution process and negotiation.
