Health care personnel working in all settings will increase their knowledge and skills in addressing the issue of pain related to the guidelines found in Tag F309.
Purpose: Health care personnel working in all settings will increase their knowledge and skills in addressing the issues of non-pressure-related skin ulcers, hospice, dialysis, and pain related to the guidelines found in Tag F309.
Objectives:
- Discuss investigative protocols used during surveys for quality of care issues.
- Define criteria for compliance with quality of care F309.
- Discuss regulatory requirements for the specific quality of care issues non-pressure-related skin ulcer/wound, hospice services, dialysis services, and pain management.
- Develop a plan of care that is consistent with the resident’s condition, needs, behaviors, preferences, and with current standards of practice related to quality of care issues.
- Cite examples of non-compliance and severity determinations related to pain management.
