To assure that facilities develop, implement, and maintain an Infection Prevention and Control Program in order to prevent, recognize, and control the onset and spread of infection in the health care facility.
Purpose: To assure that facilities develop, implement, and maintain an Infection Prevention and Control Program in order to prevent, recognize, and control the onset and spread of infection in the health care facility.
Objectives:
- Develop an Infection Control Program that meets the requirements of the law;
- Understand how to investigate, control and prevent the spread of infection in the facility;
- Discuss Investigative Protocols used during surveys for infection control issues.
