The participant will enhance his/her understanding of constipation and fecal impaction in the elderly.
Purpose: The participant will enhance his/her understanding of constipation and fecal impaction in the elderly.
Objectives:
- List the causes and risk factors of constipation;
- Explore the variety of non-pharmacologic treatments;
- Discuss medications used in the management of chronic constipation.
- Explain causes and treatment of fecal impaction.
