Upon completion of this course, the participant will have a better understanding of hearing loss and how it affects the individual as well as treatment options to enhance quality of living of the hearing impaired individual.
Purpose: Upon completion of this course, the participant will have a better understanding of hearing loss and how it affects the individual as well as treatment options to enhance quality of living of the hearing impaired individual.
Objectives:
- Discuss hearing loss and how it affects the individual and family/friends;
- Explain the anatomy of the ear;
- List the types of hearing loss;
- Discuss the various treatments for hearing loss;
- Explain audiologic rehabilitation;
- Explore communicating with the hearing impaired;
- Discuss tinnitus.
