Purpose: Activity professionals will review and gain knowledge of assessing, planning and evaluating activities for resident with Alzheimer’s Type Dementia. Objectives: 1. Discuss the importance of appropriate activities for Alzheimer’s residents; 2. Assess and evaluate the resident’s activity potential; 3. Describe appropriate activities for Alzheimer’s residents; 4. Discuss documentation to efficiently record participation; 5. Write progress notes pertaining to the activity participation and progress. 6. Describe methods to locate and adapt resources to use in planning and implementing activities for the Alzheimer’s residents.
