Purpose: Health care personnel working in a variety of settings will review and gain knowledge of the disease Tuberculosis.
Objectives:
- Understand the prevalence of Tuberculosis;
- Describe the causes of TB and how it is spread;
- Identify the symptoms of active TB;
- Discuss diagnostic tests for TB;
- Explain the TB skin test and the interpretation of reactions;
- Discuss appropriate treatment for active TB.
